NaijaLobby Get started

How a trade actually works.

No hidden steps and no fine print. Here is the whole process, including the part most marketplaces leave out: what happens when something goes wrong.

Buying, step by step

Five steps from browsing to a delivered item.

Browse the Shop

Every listing shows a photo, a price and the seller. Only listings that passed review appear here.

Open the seller's profile

Check the badge, the account age and anything they have posted. A real seller has a history you can look at.

Message before you pay

Confirm what exactly is being sold, how it will be delivered and how long it takes. Keep this conversation inside NaijaLobby.

Pay through a method you can trace

Whatever you use, keep proof of the payment and the reference number. Cash with no record is the hardest kind to recover.

Confirm delivery, then rate the experience

Do not confirm anything you have not received. If the seller stalls, say so in the same thread.

What keeps it safer

Three checks that exist before you ever open a chat.

Sellers are checked first

You cannot list items until your seller application is approved. The badge on a profile means that happened.

Listings are reviewed

Every new listing is read by a person before it appears in the Shop. Anything that looks like a stolen account or a fake screenshot is rejected.

The agreement stays on record

Messages in NaijaLobby are saved. If there is a dispute, the thread is the evidence, which is why we ask you to keep it there.

What NaijaLobby can and cannot do

We would rather be clear about this than let you find out later.

NaijaLobby can
Check sellers before approving them
NaijaLobby can

Read that last block again. NaijaLobby is a place where buyers and sellers meet, not a payment processor. Treat a stranger on the other side the way you would treat a stranger in any market: politely, and carefully.

How to spot a scam

Almost every scam in gaming trades follows the same few scripts. Learn these and most of it stops working.

  • They ask for your password or a login code. Real top ups are delivered to your UID. Nobody needs your password to send diamonds. If someone says they need to "log in to confirm", that is the scam itself.
  • They move you off NaijaLobby immediately. "Chat me on WhatsApp" before anything is agreed means they do not want a record of what they promised.
  • The price is far below everyone else. A legitimate discount exists. A listing at a third of every other price is bait for a payment you will not get back.
  • They rush you. "Only one left", "pay now before the price changes". Urgency is used to stop you from checking.
  • Proof is a screenshot. Screenshots can be edited in a minute. Ask for a fresh look inside the game while you are talking, rather than an image sent at the start.
  • They want you to confirm receipt first. Never confirm delivery for anything you have not actually received.

If a trade goes wrong

Report the seller from their profile, or from the more menu in your message thread. Include what was agreed, what you paid and what happened. Reports go to a person.

Be realistic about the outcome. If the payment left NaijaLobby, we cannot pull it back. What we can do is stop that account from trading with anyone else, which is why reporting still matters even when your own money is already gone.

For sellers

List accurately, answer inside NaijaLobby, and deliver what the photo showed. The sellers who last are the ones with a history of completed trades and no reports, because buyers check the profile before they check the price. Full rules are in the terms.

Common questions

Does NaijaLobby hold my money during a trade?

No. There is no escrow and no wallet. Payment goes directly between buyer and seller. We check sellers and review listings, but we are not a party to the payment.

Should I give a seller my password?

Never. Diamond and coin purchases are delivered to your in game UID, which is not a password. Any request for a password, email login or one time code is an attempt to take your account.

What does the verified seller badge mean?

The seller applied and was approved by NaijaLobby. It is a check on the account and its history, not a guarantee that every individual trade will go well.

How do I become a seller?

Create an account, then apply from your profile. Approved sellers can create listings, and each listing is reviewed before it appears in the Shop.

How long does delivery usually take?

It depends what you bought and which seller you are talking to. Agree the timing in a message before you pay, and treat anything vaguer than that as a reason to slow down.
